So, Gakuto is pretty much the cutest little puffball on the Hyoutei regulars team. :D Occasionally Jirou tries to take this title from him, but please, the kid has magenta-colored hair. Magenta. You can't beat that.

As you probably are aware of, Gakuto is half of the 2nd doubles pair of Hyoutei. His partner is Oshitari Yuushi. The two are known (for whatever reason) as the "Dirty Pair", and all that that implies. In a match, Gakuto utilizes an acrobatic tennis that is, reportedly, even better than Kikumaru's acrobatic play. He jumps ridiculous heights into the air, returns balls from really strange angles, and basically tries to overwhelm the enemy as quickly as possible. Why? Because the kid has absolutely no stamina to speak of. It's really quite sad, actually. So short matches are his forte. He pretty much works the front lines while Oshitari stays in the back and acts as the playmaker, analyzing the opponent and advising Gakuto on what to do.

His catchphrase that he says in almost every episode he appears in, "Motto tonde miso", means "Want to see me fly higher?", as in, I'm not even going at full strength and I'm already pwning your ass. 8D Surely you can see why this kid is awesome. He's so bratty, it's CUTE.

I'm not going to cover TeniMyu!Gakuto. Why? Because while Aoyagi Ruito may look ok normally, his rendition of Gakuto is not nearly as attractive or cute as the real Gakuto, wtf.
